I specialize in providing fine art prints of nature settings and wildlife in a variety of sizes, matted and framed, suitable for home decor or to liven up your office or waiting room, as well as offering quality photographic services to individuals and families at reasonable prices. My services are also available for event photography on a day or half day rate.

Please bear in mind when considering pricing of a photo session with D. Allen Martin Photography that it is not only the time behind the camera I am charging for. As I provide a full service professional quality photo shoot, I also do all of my own post processing which involves several hours of sitting at a computer editing, sorting through the dozens or even hundreds of shots to select the shots which make you look your absolute best and retouching them to make you look even better. It also covers wear and tear on very expensive photography equipment such as Nikon camera bodies, lenses, flash units, stands, tripods, gas, travel time to and from the shoot location, wear and tear on my vehicle, among other expenses I incur out of pocket, all of which are expenses that I need to recover in how I price a session in order to continue doing business.

All things considered, my profit margins are not nearly what most might assume, so if you choose to compare my prices with someone offering a photo shoot with a hand full of prints straight out of the camera, with no retouching, and you feel like my fees are "high" in comparison, I ask that you also consider and compare what you are actually getting in service, time, and quality of product when making those price comparisons.

I charge an hourly rate of $100 to shoot outdoors on location. Missouri is full of beautiful outdoor locations, plenty of which are within minutes of my studio in Marshall, and a beautiful natural background and natural ambient lighting under the right weather conditions will make a dramatic difference in the overall look of an image. Of course, by the same token, this does restrict my to shooting on such days as the weather is agreeable. Locations further than 20 miles from my studio, but less than 50 miles, will incur an additional $50 travel fee. Locations beyond 50 miles are negotiable, but I generally will not travel that far for less than a 3 hour shoot.

Standard sitting fees for a shoot in my Marshall studio, no limit on wardrobe changes, $65/hour.

I provide 5 edited and retouched professional quality images of one look (or wardrobe set) for each hour you pay for in your sitting fees, and charge $15 per additional image which covers standard color correction and color enhancements, cropping to your chosen print size, as well as other small adjustments as needed. These will be provided at full resolution, free of any visible watermarks on CD and with written permission to duplicate and print them for personal use only. Special effect retouch work may be available, depending on the image, for an additional $10-$50 per image, depending on the type of special effect requested and how long such work will most likely take.

These prices are listed explicitly and exclusively for NON-COMMERCIAL PERSONAL USE ONLY (ei; sharing print with family & friends, posting on social media, self promotion, framing and hanging in your home or office, etc., and MAY NOT be altered in any way through the use of digital filtering or retouching software). Permission to use any images for profit, such as selling to a 3rd party for alteration and/or use for promoting their products or services is STRICTLY PROHIBITED without an additional signed release form. If you wish to acquire shots for commercial use it is required that we discuss the intended use of the images before shooting so that I can tailor them to that use and charge accordingly.
